Frequently asked questions
Is mulebuyspreadsheet.net the official Mulebuy website?
No. This is an independent directory and beginner guide — it is not operated by, or affiliated with, Mulebuy. We organise the spreadsheet by category and explain how agent shopping works; browsing links open on w2cspreadsheet.com, and your account, payments, QC and shipping all happen on the agent itself.
What does it cost to use Mulebuy as a shopping agent?
Mulebuy is widely documented as running a zero-service-fee model: you pay the item price, the domestic shipping to the warehouse, the international shipping, and any customs charges — with no per-order handling commission. Optional extras such as additional QC photos, a weight rehearsal or extended storage carry small fees only if you choose them. Always confirm current fees on the official Mulebuy site before you order.
Why do I pay twice for one order?
Agent orders have two separate payments. The first covers the goods — the product price plus domestic shipping from the seller to the warehouse. The second covers international shipping, and it is charged later, after your items are consolidated and the box is weighed. You cannot know the exact international cost until the parcel is packed, which is why it is a second payment.
What are QC photos, and are they free?
QC (quality-control) photos are real photographs of your actual item taken at the warehouse before it ships. Mulebuy typically provides several free QC photos per item — commonly around three to seven — so you can confirm the size, colour and condition. Extra photos or a rehearsal may carry a small optional fee. The QC window is the cheapest moment to catch a problem, because the item has not left China yet.
How long can my items stay in the warehouse?
Storage is free for a generous window — commonly around 90 days — so you can gather several orders before you ship them together. If you need longer, storage can usually be extended for a small fee. Confirm the current window on the official site, as policies change.
How long does international shipping take?
It varies by line and destination, but delivery is typically in the region of 7–21 days; express couriers like DHL or FedEx are faster at a higher price. The estimate you see at checkout is the one to trust for your country, since routes and times change.
What is consolidation and why does it matter?
Consolidation means holding several orders at the warehouse and shipping them together in one box. International shipping has a base cost per parcel, so sending items one by one pays that base every time — combining them pays it once, plus a little for the extra weight. It is the single biggest lever on your total cost.
Which Chinese platforms can I buy from?
Mainly Taobao, Weidian and 1688. Taobao is the huge consumer marketplace, Weidian hosts smaller and niche seller storefronts, and 1688 is the wholesale source. A good spreadsheet often lists the same item across more than one platform so you can compare price and seller.
What exactly is a "spreadsheet" in this hobby?
It is a curated, category-organised list of product links that you open through a shopping agent. Instead of searching endless listings, you browse a tidy index — sneakers, hoodies, bags, tech — pick an item, and open it inside the agent. This site organises those categories and explains the workflow, then opens the live catalogue on w2cspreadsheet.com.
Can I get a refund if something arrives wrong?
Refunds and returns are most straightforward during the QC window, before international shipping. If the QC photos show a defect or the wrong item, you can usually request a return to the seller or a refund. Once a parcel has shipped internationally, returns become slow and costly because the item has to travel back — which is exactly why the QC step matters.
Are there items I cannot buy or ship?
Yes. Some goods are always banned — weapons, drugs, explosives and other dangerous items. Others are restricted depending on the shipping line or your destination country, such as large batteries, liquids, aerosols and certain branded goods. Confirm an item is shippable on your chosen line before you pay for it, because a banned item cannot be forwarded once it reaches the warehouse.
Do I need an account just to browse the spreadsheet?
No. Browsing the categories on this site and opening the live catalogue is free and needs no login. You only register with the agent when you are ready to place an order, and registration needs little more than an email address.
